Assist in supporting the Materials Management program by analyzing and implementing hospital and Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) contracts. Responsible for identifying and analyzing opportunities to establish contractual relationships with suppliers for products, equipment and services. Develops and issues Request for Proposals (RFP) using a competitive bidding process. Facilitates the contract negotiations, contract development and implementation of each pursued opportunity. Presents findings and recommendations to the designated Value Analysis Team (VAT) with the use of analyses, charts and graphs to support findings. Responsible for on-going contract compliance and maintenance of contracts. Administer all contracts and contract databases on a timely basis. MINIMUM REQUIRED: Bachelor?s degree. Five or more years of progressively responsible purchasing and contracting
Bachelor's degree. Five or more years of progressively responsible purchasing and contracting experience in a large hospital or multi-hospital system may be substituted in lieu of education.
Preferred: Certified Material and Resource Professional (CMRP) through the American Hospital Association (AHA) or a Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) through the Institute for Supply Management.
