Functions as a member of the multidisciplinary health team; carries out established nursing procedures following hospital policy, and functions in a variety of settings with a great deal of autonomy. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care efficiently with the awareness of the goals of the unit and/or organization. Reports to the Integrated Flow Supervisor and works closely with the Hospital Supervisors to meet the operational needs of the facility. Floats according to facility needs to assist with required admission documentation, discharge education and documentation, and appropriate bed placement to facilitate more efficient throughput and transitions of care.  Supports staff and patients of specific units during periods of extraordinary and/or unpredictable nursing care needs (may be pulled to unit staffing during times of staffing shortage).


Education Background

  • Graduate of approved nursing program.
  • Bachelors of Science Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Licensure, Registration, Certification
  • Current California Registered Nurse License.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Current ACLS certification.
  • Work Experience
  • Consistent demonstration of Novice / Advance Beginner clinical nursing practice proficiency.
