Specialized medical professional in the art of roentgenography. Patient care specialist that work as both individual-care-provider and as part of a diagnostic team under the guidance of a Diagnostic Supervisor & the Radiologists. Assists the Supervisor with departmental operation and training of Radiology students and staff technologist. Performs tasks abiding by P&P, State Regulations, and ALARA radiation safety principles. Utilizes x-ray photon producing equipment to image the human body. Performs under potentially stressful situations i.e., trauma cases. Performs a variety of imaging procedures and is responsible for patient safety protocols. Functions as the first line interface with customers in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs. Participates in CQI activities.
MINIMUM REQUIRED: High school diploma or GED. Graduate of an ARRT approved School of Radiologic Technology. Two (2) years’ or more experience in all routine and most advanced Radiologic procedures as a Radiologic Technologist
MINIMUM REQUIRED: Current BLS certificate.
California Department of Public Health fluoroscopy permit.
California Department of Public Health Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT).
PREFERRED: American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiologic Technology, ARRT (R)
