The Educator RN Clinical Informatics position is a vital member of our mission.

In this position you are responsible for developing, coordinating and implementing Epic training programs to prepare Community Medical Center (CMC) staff and medical staff for successful EPIC utilization.

  • Collaborates with inter-disciplinary resources to identify Epic training, education, and communication needs of CMC staff and medical staff.
  • Utilizes various operational and outcome data to identify educational and development opportunities.
  • Participates in planning meetings to identify educational and development opportunities. Demonstrates ability to differentiate educational and development opportunities and performance issues.
  • Develops, coordinates and implements Epic training programs for staff and medical staff. Coordinates with inter-disciplinary resources to design, develop and maintain curriculum to meet the learning needs of the organization and of the individuals.
  • Facilitates the adult learning process by integrating the principles of adult learning into learning activities.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of education and learning activities. Uses appropriate measurement methods to assess and document achievement of learning process/proficiency and competence of personnel.
  • Maintains required documentation for specific programs including continuing education files/reports.
  • Develops and maintains policies and procedures as needed.


Minimum required:

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare or related field (or completion of BSN within 18 months of entry into job). Two years experience in training development/implementation AND two years experience delivering a combination of classroom, on-line and one-on-one training. 


Four years experience delivering a combination of classroom, on-line and one-on-one training. Four years experience designing and implementing training solutions. Experience in increasingly complex/responsible, enterprise level business analysis or system development roles. Previous EPIC / EMR training experience. Healthcare background, experience and performance that promotes a high level of credibility with clinical professionals.


Minimum required:

Current California Registered Nurse license or appropriate license for Clinical Specialty. Epic Principal Trainer certification within 9 months of hire or entry into job.
