    As a MLT with our microbiology team, you  will provide support during the hours of 8:00PM-4:30AM.  We provide competitive pay and a night shift differential between the hours of 7:00pm and 7:00AM.     Responsibilities

    In this role some of your key responsibilities would include but are not limited to:

    Performing specimen handling, processing, and specimen preparation for analysis according to laboratory's established policies and procedures.
    Monitoring and maintaining inventory of critical supplies, including blood product inventory. Inspecting acceptability of reagent stability and storage parameters and prepares reagents for technical use. Prepares and issue blood products.
    ·         Performing testing and reporting of  results that are classified as Waived or Moderate complex by CLIA guidelines.  Performing quality control policies and procedures in the laboratory.

    ·         Implementing preventative maintenance, trouble shooting and calibration procedures relative to the scope of their responsibility. Maintaining documentation of quality control activities, instrument, and procedure calibrations and maintenance performed.

    Qualifications

    Minimum education requirements

    • AS/AA degree
    • Graduation from The National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) or Laboratory Field Services (LFS) approved training program for Medical Laboratory Technician. (U.S. military laboratory programs qualify).


    Minimum license requirements

    • State of California Medical Laboratory Technician license (MLT).
