Overview

The Application Admin Int. 2 is a vital member of our mission.

In this position you will provide technical consulting services for various users departments. Responsible for the implementation, installation, integration, backup, recover, archive, security, maintenance, performance tuning, job scheduling, capacity planning and disaster recovery. Ensure appropriate design, development, testing, deployment of modification and/or reporting services for various platforms, databases, and/or application software as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Independently or under general direction, develop specifications for application software and modify/maintain the most complex existing application software packages via releases and utilities from the vendor.
  • Design, code, test, and debug the most complex application software; convert and maintain multiple software packages; evaluate and procure application software/database/hardware platform support maintenance support.
  • Administer applications dealing with overall file maintenace routines, performance tuning, capacity planning, security, upgrades, scheduling, and backup and recovery functionality.
  • Provide training and act as the internal technical consultant in relation to the platforms, operating systems, databases and applications assigned.
  • Remain up-to-date on operating system software, operation procedures, application software, technological developments and industry trends in systems and programming; attends meetings, conferences, and seminars.
  • Facilitates resolution of complex problems and special requests for assigned platofrms, databases, and/or applications.
  • Ensures appropriate policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards are developed, instituted, and maintained in support of assigned platforms, databases, and/or applications.
  • Maintain relationships with hardware/software vendors as they relate to assigned systems/applications.

Qualifications

Minimum required:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and/or related field. 3 years technical experience in application administration, computer programming, database administration.

 

Preferred: 

Work experience in the healthcare industry or a healthcare setting.
