Responsibilities

As a member of our human resources team you will help to support 8,500 employees.  We are a lean HR function that supports the mission of our organization to improve the health status of the community and promote medical education. 

 

In this role, you will be exposed to complex employee relations cases that can span across multiple functionalities.  You will work with diverse employee skillsets and a multifaceted organizational structure that will challenge you and help you grow in your career.  As a member of a 7 person team focused on employee relations, you will be assigned specific areas of the hospital to strategically partner with, learn their operational challenges and provide significant value to help them succeed. 

Qualifications

Necessary skills for this role include:

  • Proven ability to develop strong trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results.
  • Demonstrated mediation skills, necessary to find common ground between parties when conflicts arise and for achieving resolution.
  • Proven ability to effectively conduct internal investigations applying the necessary critical thinking skills while maintaining demonstrated professional objectivity throughout.
  • Ability to collaborate with HR colleagues to effectively address operational needs.

Experience and education minimum requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) is required.
  • Three years diverse HR Generalist or Employee Relations experience required. Combination of education and relevant HR background may be substituted.
