The California Cancer Center is a nationally accredited cancer program committed to excellence in biomedical care and all-inclusive patient support. The impressive new three story comprehensive cancer center will be located on the Clovis Campus. It will be the region’s first cancer center working closely with USCF medical staff and providing outpatient cancer treatments, the latest in cancer research and pioneering clinical trials.  


The center offers cutting-edge technology including radiation oncology, imaging, labs, and dispensing pharmacy.  The center will have a dedicated radiation oncology clinic equipped with 3 conventional radiation therapy machines, 1 CyberKnife machine as well as onsite PET/CT scanner, CT Simulator, and MRI.


Our center was awarded a three-year accreditation, which is the highest (ACOS) American College of Surgeons designed program in the San Joaquin Valley. Our cancer programs offers a full scope of cancer programs through an on-site evaluation by experienced health care professionals. We are (CoC) Commission on Cancer accredited and are committed to providing the highest level of quality cancer care. With a complete range of state of the art services and equipment in the region our advanced technology include: two Elekta linear accelerators, a CyberKnife with an active SRS/SBRTprogram, Pinnacle Treatment Planning System,  Raystation software, Mosaiq EMR, Toshiba large Bore CT scanner, a Varian HDR unit and an active prostate seed implant brachytherapy program.


We are building a new comprehensive cancer center in nearby Clovis.  In addition to our current equipment, we will be adding a Philips Big Bore CT simulator, a Philips 3T MRI capable of performing MRI simulations, and a fully digital Vereos PET/CT.  Initially we will move the two Elekta Inifinty accelerators to the new center and install a state of the art TrueBeam. With the advent of all this new technology, the new cancer center will need a fully dedicated medical physics program.

CRMC is the flagship hospital of Community Medical Centers – a private, not-for-profit healthcare system based in Fresno, California, and the largest healthcare provider and private employer in central California. We measure up with top hospitals nationally and are the 3rdlargest in California. With 685 beds, we are home to the only Level 1 Trauma and comprehensive burn centersbetween Los Angeles and Sacramento. The 56,000 square-foot emergency department is one of the largest and busiest in the state. We have an 84 bed Level 3 NICU and a brand new pediatric specialty care unit. Future plans include building a women and children’s facility on campus and expanding with 65 additional beds. Our hospital serves 2.5 million people within 9 counties, averaging a daily census of 641 patients. Interacts closely with physicians, therapists, and physicist to prepare and accurately deliver quality radiation treatment plans as approved by a Radiation Oncologist. Solely responsible for precise calculations made to implement a course of the latest radiation therapy techniques. Assures accuracy of delivery of radiation treatments. Is responsible to generate radiation dose distributions and calculations in order to provide radiation treatment plans in accordance with the radiation oncologist’s report. Assists in brachytherapy procedures and direct patient dosimetry


MINIMUM REQUIRED: Bachelors degree in Science or related field OR graduate from an accredited Medical Dosimetry Program OR hold an active registration with the ARRT.


MINIMUM REQUIRED: Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD).
