Overview

Community Regional Medical Center is the flagship hospital of Community Medical Centers – a private, not-for-profit healthcare system based in Fresno, California, and the largest healthcare provider and private employer in central California. We measure up with top hospitals nationally and are the 3rd largest in California. With 685 beds, we are home to the only Level 1 Trauma and comprehensive burn centers between Los Angeles and Sacramento. The 56,000 square-foot emergency department is one of the largest and busiest in the state. We have an 84 bed Level 3 NICU and a brand new pediatric specialty care unit. Future plans include building a women and children’s facility on campus and expanding with 65 additional beds. Our hospital serves 2.5 million people within 9 counties, averaging a daily census of 641 patients. Responsibilities

Responsible for the direct oversight of the Command Center with the primary goal being optimal patient flow achieved through direct and indirect management of data, as well as appropriate coordination of information and resources. Executes a coordinated strategy with key CRMC resources to determine admission status and appropriate bed assignment. Collaborates with physicians, key clinical and non-clinical staff to ensure operational success. Maintains visibility throughout the organization, collaborates with primary stakeholders, and a high degree of autonomy. Responsible for effective communication, staff development, budget support, fiscal control, interdepartmental relations and personnel management. 

Qualifications

Minimum requirements include: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing or successful completion of sufficient units in nursing to qualify for state licensure. Bachelors Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or other related field service/program area. Three to five years healthcare leadership experience and enrollment in a Bachelors program within one year of moving into position may be substituted for degree requirement. Experience with healthcare operations data, case and claims management. Previous direct patient care experience as a Registered Nurse.

 

Preferred requirements include:  Experience in a call, service center or similar operation. Healthcare project leadership experience and logistics control and clinical background.
