Community Regional Medical Center (CRMC) is adding an additional RN Supervisor position to two of its telemetry units. In this role you will work on two different floors.
The Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit is the largest inpatient unit in the hospital with 64, monitored beds. RN to patient ratio is 1:3 or 1:4 depending on the acuity of the patient. You will provide care to Cardiac patients with various medical comorbidities such as End-Stage Renal Disease, Diabetes, and CHF. In the Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit, you will also care for patients with various respiratory diseases requiring adjunct Oxygen delivery such as BiPAP and CPAP.
The Cardiovascular Progressive 8 West Unit is a large, 47 bed, monitored unit. RN to patient ratio is also 1:3 or 1:4 depending on the acuity of the patient. You will provide care to pre and post open heart surgery patients, stable LVAD patients and patients with Pulmonary Hypertension.
The role of the Clinical Nurse Supervisor is to assist the Unit Manager in the planning, organizing and directing of patient care services. This position supervises the team(s) providing direct care for patients. Management and leadership skills needed include conflict management, negotiation, team building, communication, budget administration and coaching/mentoring others. Directs patient assignments, staff scheduling, patient flow, and assists in meeting financial targets by effectively assisting in managing utilization, productivity, personnel and supplies. Participates, as necessary, in team meetings and represents clinical staff on appropriate committees.
Minimum requirements include: Graduation from an accredited registered nursing program. Current RN license for the state of California and BLS certification. At least 4 years of staff RN experience in area of specialty providing a full spectrum of care in a variety of situations. May substitute 2 years supervisory experience in lieu of 2 years staff RN experience. Certifications as required for the unit. National certification for the area of specialty, if does not have the certification, must be eligible for certification and achieve within 6 months of hire or entry into job.
