Community Regional Medical Center (CRMC) is the flagship hospital of Community Medical Centers, a private, not-for-profit healthcare system based in Fresno, California, and the largest healthcare provider and private employer in central California. A pharmacy resident is an individual at any level of graduate pharmacy education in a program accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP). Trainees in subspecialty programs are specifically included. Graduate pharmacy education programs focus on the development of clinical skills, knowledge base and professional competencies. Residents also provides for delivery of basic pharmacy services, patient-oriented clinical pharmacy services, drug information and monitoring. Reviews all drug orders and checks all work completed by ancillary personnel in the department. Serves as drug expert and consultant to physicians, nursing staff and other hospital personnel. Provides quality assurance review of drug utilization throughout the hospital for various medical staff committees and the department. Incumbents will be given an introductory evaluation 6 months after placement in the Pharmacist Resident Grad Intern/Pharmacist Resident job code.

Must have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) school or college of pharmacy or have a Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Committee (FPGEC) certificate from the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP). Completion of at least 1,500 hours of professional pharmacy practice as a pharmacy intern or graduate pharmacist.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS MINIMUM REQUIRED: Valid California Pharmacist license.
