Provides psychosocial-emotional support and services to patients and families across the cancer care continuum. Assists patient/family in understanding, coping and adapting to the emotional and psychosocial issues associated with a cancer diagnosis and treatment. Works collaboratively with multidisciplinary team and physicians to facilitate efficient and appropriate management of quality cancer care.
Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field. Two years’ experience in inpatient or outpatient care setting with chronically or terminally ill patients. Current California Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW) registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences or equivalent license.
