Community Regional Medical Center is seeking Genetic Counselor for our growing genetics services. You will have opportunities to see patients in multiple specialties e.g. Cancer, Neurology, Pediatrics, Adults and Pediatric Genetics. You’ll work in conjunction with senior tenured UCSF clinical geneticists with interests in prenatal diagnosis, dysmorphology, and intellectual disability in children and adults. JOB SUMMARY As a Genetic Counselor, you will be responsible for providing genetic counseling, supportive and follow-up services to patients and family members at high risk for genetic and/or exposure related conditions with oversight by the MD Clinical Geneticist in the Genetic Center. We are looking for someone with effective communication with a proactive approach to problem solving. You will play an important role and will be a part of a highly-skilled team. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Genetic Counseling. Successful graduation from an accredited program in genetic counseling approved by the American Council for Genetic Counseling (ACGC). Credentialed by the CMC Medical Staff Office as an Advanced Practice Professional and privileged to perform genetic counseling services. Preferred: Experience is preferred. Ability to speak Spanish is a plus but not essential. New graduates are encouraged to apply!
License/Certification: Certification as a Genetic Counselor through the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) or American Board of Medical Genetics, Certified Diplomat.
