Community Regional Medical Center (CRMC) is the flagship hospital of Community Medical Centers – a not-for-profit healthcare system based in Fresno, California, and the largest healthcare provider and private employer in central California. The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for orthopedic program oversight under the direction of the Director to achieve and maintain Joint Commission certification for an orthopedic Total Joint Center of Excellence. Position will oversee the coordination of patient care provided by orthopedic staff. Position will assist the Unit Manager and Director by providing leadership to the department, including maximizing personnel abilities and competence, problem resolution, orienting and mentoring department personnel. Position works closely with the Unit Manager and Director, providing clinical oversight for program implementation and management. Serves as a liaison between the program and clinical departments, focusing on the quality of care provided by staff, ensuring the accuracy of data abstraction.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
MINIMUM REQUIRED: BSN or equivalent and at least two years of staff nursing experience providing a full spectrum of care in a variety of situations. Experience coordinating clinical care and providing mentorship, education and training to staff nurses. Approximately two years of relevant nursing experience in an orthopedic setting.
PREFERRED: MSN, experience in medical surgical hospital unit and/or nurse coordinator or similar position.
MINIMUM REQUIRED: Current California Registered Nurse license, current BLS certification.
PREFERRED: Current basic arrhythmia and ACLS certification. National Orthopedic Certification (ONC).
