Overview

CRMC is the flagship hospital of Community Medical Centers – a private, not-for-profit healthcare system based in Fresno, California, and the largest healthcare provider and private employer in central California. With 685 beds, we are home to the only Level 1 Trauma and comprehensive burn centers between Los Angeles and Sacramento. Future plans include building a women and children’s facility on campus and expanding with 65 additional beds. Responsibilities

 

Community Regional Medical Center (CRMC) is adding additional positions to its existing staff of Float Team Registered Nurses. This Team is composed of RNs, PICC RNs, LVNs, IV Start Nurses, PCAs, Unit Clerks, Monitor Techs, and Nurse Externs.  Our focus is to deliver high quality care to moderately stable and unstable patients throughout the Inpatient Units and the Emergency Department.  On the Float Team; you will occasionally be asked to float to our sister facility – Clovis Community Hospital.  

 

 

In this role you will work closely with the staffing office to obtain your daily assignment when you report to your scheduled shift.  You will have the capability to float to any department where you have achieved validated competency. Department assignments are based on individual competency level and corporate need. The levels of competence that are achievable within the Float Team include:

 

  • Level I - Med/Surg, Telemetry, and ED
  • Level II - Med/Surg, Telemetry, ED, & Step Down ICU
  • Level III - Med/Surg, Telemetry, ED, Step Down ICU & ICU

 

You will care for a variety of patient populations as assigned by the departments. The Float Team ensures your competency by providing annual Float Team competencies and education throughout the annual year in areas such as emergency, critical care, and med/surg. Your assignments will change on a daily basis to promote learning and foster diversity in your nursing skill set.

Your schedules is set well in advance by the Nurse Float Team Manager. The scheduling includes working seven (7) 12-hour shifts (day or night) and every other weekend per pay period with an individual’s fair share of holidays as applicable. The scheduling remains flexible within the team to promote furthering higher education and an optimal work-life balance. The team is nurturing and supportive with a plethora of resources at your fingertips.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements include; Graduation from an accredited registered nursing program.  Current RN license for the state of California, BLS. ACLS, and PALS preferred.
