Responsibilities

Community Regional Medical Center (CRMC) is searching for a RN Educator for two of its telemetry units. In this role you will work on two different floors.

 

The Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit is the largest inpatient unit in the hospital with 64, monitored beds. RN to patient ratio is 1:3 or 1:4 depending on the acuity of the patient. You will provide care to Cardiac patients with various medical comorbidities such as End-Stage Renal Disease, Diabetes, and CHF. In the Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit, you will also care for patients with various respiratory diseases requiring adjunct Oxygen delivery such as BiPAP and CPAP.

 

The Cardiovascular Progressive 8 West Unit is a large, 47 bed, monitored unit. RN to patient ratio is also 1:3 or 1:4 depending on the acuity of the patient. You will provide care to pre and post open heart surgery patients, stable LVAD patients and patients with Pulmonary Hypertension.

 

In this role you will function as a clinical leader/expert in a particular specialty or subspecialty of nursing. Practice aims at achieving quality patient care outcomes. Responsible for coordinating orientation programs, continuing inservice education, and ongoing educational programs for the nursing staff. Works with unit management to organize and develop quality assurance projects. Collaborates and consults with other nurses and healthcare professionals to advance nursing practice and improve clinical outcomes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or graduation from an accredited School of Nursing. Approximately two years clinical experience in area of specialty. Experience in patient and staff education development and implementation, quality improvement, program development, and professional development.

 

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS MINIMUM REQUIRED: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California. Current BLS certification. Additional unit specific requirements.
