Education
o High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE), or CHS-approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required.
Required (one of the following):
o Bachelor’s degree or higher in a healthcare-related field. Healthcare-related degrees may require approval by nursing executive leadership.
o National specialty certification applicable to nursing or ECMO practice
Experience
o Minimum of 6 months of open-heart or cardiothoracic surgical experience
o Critical care experience required, including a minimum of two (2) years of ECMO experience
Licenses and Certifications
o RN - Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California required
o BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
o NATIONAL - National Certification related to specialty and applicable to role (if qualifying with this option) required
One of the following is preferred:
o CCRN - Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse
o CES-A - Adult Certified ECMO Specialist
