Responsibilities

The role of the clinical nurse is to deliver patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient needs with the highest professional standard while promoting nursing excellence through continued education and research, based on the Title 22 and Title 16, the ANA Scope & Standards of Practice, the Code of Ethics.  Delivery of patient care in the Central Valley’s only Level 1 Trauma Center.  Learn how to care for the all levels and ages of patients with medical concerns and injuries ranging from the common cold to heart attacks and strokes to broken bones and major trauma.  All of our ED physicians are part of the UCSF Fresno Emergency Medical Service and that makes our department a place where the emphasis is on education and teaching.  Bring your customer service skills and we will bring you the experience and skills you crave. 

Qualifications

Education & Experience  

  • High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required  
  • Consistent demonstration of competent clinical nursing practice proficiency required  
  • Must have at least 1+years Acute Care RN Experience

Licenses and Certifications   

  • RN - Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California required  
  • BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
