Responsibilities

The Sterile Processing Technician 2 is responsible for the sterile processing of supplies and maintenance of the operating room and various other departments within the hospital.
 

Qualifications

 

Education

  • High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required

Experience

  • Must have at least 1+yrs. hospital Sterile Processing Tech experience required 

 

Licenses and Certifications

  • CRCST - Certified Registered Central Services Technician Certification from IAHCSMM required or
  • CSPDT - Certified Sterile Processing & Distribution Technician Certification from CBSPD required
  • BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) preferred
