Responsibilities

You’re a nurse looking for something different, a place where you can learn every day and in a unique environment.  Our 7-bed step down unit is located in the heart of our trauma PACU, and its patients are post op admits, awaiting beds. This provides an opportunity to work alongside PACU teams and see first-hand the potential of pursuing a career as a trauma PACU RN, while also providing excellent care to our post-surgical patients awaiting floor space. Patient acuity ranges from Med Surg to Step Down level and ratios from 1:3, 1:5 as appropriate. 

Qualifications

Education & Experience 

  • High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required 
  • Consistent demonstration of competent clinical nursing practice proficiency required 
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Tele, Stepdown, ICU, Critical Care bedside experience highly preferred

  

Licenses and Certifications  

  • RN - Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California required 
  • BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required 
  • ACLS Certification within 6 months of hire or transfer into job
