CRMC is the flagship hospital of Community Medical Centers – a private, not-for-profit healthcare system based in Fresno, California, and the largest healthcare provider and private employer in central California. With685 beds, we are home to the only Level 1 Trauma and comprehensive burn centers between Los Angeles and Sacramento. Future plans include building a women and children’s facility on campus and expanding with 65 additional beds. Our hospital serves 2.5 million people within 9 counties, averaging a daily census of 641 patients. We’re affiliated with UCSF as a teaching facility and have trained 3,000 Medical Doctor’s to date plus remain investing in research and training grants.
Community Regional Medical Center has the only perinatology program in the Central Valley and receives patients from 15 other area hospitals because of its expertise in handling high-risk pregnancies and deliveries. With more than 6,500 babies born each year, Community Regional is one of the busiest birthing centers in California and serves as the largest comprehensive high-risk pregnancy program in the Central Valley. Our 84-bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is the largest in the region and provides care for infants with complex critical care needs, including premature infants and babies with a variety of diagnoses. Under indirect supervision, provides primary care, assessment and evaluation to critically and/or chronically ill newborn infants. Serves in a teaching capacity and/or may supervise clinical staff in patient care activities.
Master’s degree in Nursing with Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Program focus. Two years NICU experience in a Level 3 or higher unit. Associates degree may be substituted in lieu of Masters for NNP license obtained prior to 1/1/08. Credentialed by the CMC Medical Staff Office as an Allied Health Professional and privileged to perform Nurse Practitioner Standardized Procedures.
PREFERRED: Two years’ experience as a Neonatal NP in a Level III Facility within the last 3 years.
Current CA Registered Nurse License. Current CA Nurse Practitioner License with a current Furnishing number. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) number within 90 days of hire or entry into job. Current BLS and NRP certificates. Neonatal certification obtained within one year of entry into job.
