Responsibilities

As a Workstation Tech I, you will be responsible for providing on-site technical hardware and software support, maintenance and repair services for staff, physicians and affiliates. This is an excellent opportunity to share and further develop your experience in informational systems.

 

  • On-Call Rotation: The position is rotational/on-call. 
  • Frequency: Every three to four months (schedule dependent).
  • Duration: A full seven-day stretch (Monday 7:00 AM to Monday 7:00 AM). 
  • Coverage: On-call shifts cover from 7:30 PM to 7:00 AM (night coverage). 
  • Note: The employee still works their regular day shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) during their on-call week, as the night coverage is "as needed" and typically results in only one or two pages for that entire week. 

Qualifications

Education 

  • High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required

 

Experience

  • 2 years of customer service experience required
  • IT/Technical background (e.g., help desk, technical position)
  • Windows experience is a MUST; Mac experience is also highly valued
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory
  • Experience with any ticketing system is beneficial
  • Strong communication skills 

Licenses and Certifications

  • DL - Valid California Driver's License and driving record acceptable to Community Health System required
