In collaboration with the Command Center, the RN Case Manager - ED assists the Utilization Review Coordinator in identifying patients appropriate for Inpatient or Observation admission status. 

Your best day is when you and your team members discharge patients knowing you delivered compassionate, quality and efficient care. With a team of 150 Case Management team members the average Case Management nurse to patient ratios are 1:25. A keen eye for detail comes naturally to you as does thorough and timely documentation and reporting. You quickly grasp applicable regulations and standards, with the assurance to handle difficult situations on your own, or to escalate them as appropriate. You employ the political savvy to collaborate in a large, fast-paced, and ever changing system.

Experience and education minimum requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required
• 1 year of acute care hospital experience required
• 4 years of acute care hospital experience may be substituted in lieu of Bachelor's Degree and experience requirement
• RN - Current State of California Registered Nurse license required
• BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required

Preferred:

• Master's degree in Nursing
• Two years acute Case Management experience and/or one to two years Emergency department experience.
• Accredited Case Manager (ACM) license and/or Certified Case Manager (CCM) license.
