• Originate and implement best practices to ensure the safe and appropriate use of medications.
• Spearhead efforts to analyze and investigate medication errors from current operational, clinical and technological perspectives.
• Develop, maintain and report the annual performance improvement strategies for the Medication Error Reduction Plan (MERP).
• Work as a liaison between physicians, nurses and ancillary departments to ensure best practices for medication safety are in place.
• Educate pharmacy team members, and other clinicians, to promote safe medication practices.
• Develop educational programs to improve patient and medication safety and regulatory compliance.

Education & Experience       

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy required
• 5 years of experience in operational and clinical areas of pharmacy operations required

Licenses and Certifications   

• RPH - Registered Pharmacist with valid State of California Pharmacist License required
