The Manager of Oncology Infusion and Pharmacy Services serves as a leader of Oncology pharmacy initiatives and contributes to the provision of high-quality services. Responsible for the purchasing, receipt and inventory of pharmaceuticals and controlled substances and implements/coordinates the drug control process within the Oncology Pharmacy departments and designated areas. Directs the development, implementation and evaluation of unit/department goals, objectives, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with patient care standards as published by The Joint Commission, CMS, and the California Department of Public Health Licensing and Certification Division. Manages staffing and scheduling functions to achieve department objectives, cost effective staffing and productivity targets. Collaborates with Inpatient Oncology Services to support high quality, cost-effective care throughout patients' plan of care.
Education
• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy required
• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred
• Completion of an ASHP residency preferred
Experience
• 3 years of Oncology Pharmacist experience required
• Experience with U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention (USP) compliance management required
• Previous Pharmacist in Charge or leadership experience required
• Experience with outpatient infusion billing and reimbursement required
• Previous experience as a clinical resource for prescribing providers preferred
• Previous experience in inventory management preferred
Licenses and Certifications
• RPH - Registered Pharmacist with valid State of California Pharmacist License required
• BCPS - Board of Pharmacy Specialties (e.g. Compounded Sterile Preparations Pharmacy and/or Oncology Pharmacy) preferred
• Pay ranges listed are an estimate and subject to change.
