Responsibilities

Located in the heart of the Central Valley, Clovis Community Medical Center continues to expand rapidly as one of the region's most advanced and patient-focused hospitals. As a Hyperbaric Technician on our wound care and hyperbaric medicine team, you’ll play a key role in delivering safe, high-quality care for patients with complex and chronic wounds. 

  • Administer Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) to referred patients while ensuring all safety protocols and regulatory standards are met. 
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the hospital safety director to coordinate patient care and maintain operational safety within the hyperbaric program. 
  • Develop and implement departmental safety procedures, providing updates and recommendations to the hospital safety officer and environment of care committee. 
  • Serve as a technical resource to nurses, providers, and fellow team members, promoting excellence and adherence to best practices in wound and hyperbaric care.

Qualifications

Education 

  • High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required 

 

Licenses and Certifications  

  • BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required 
  • One of the following is required 
  • EMT - Emergency Medical Technician Certification issued by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians 
  • RN - Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California 
  • LVN - Current State of California Licensed Vocational Nurse License 
  • RCP - State of California Respiratory Care Practitioner License 
  • CHT - Certified Hyperbaric Technician preferred within 1 year of hire or transfer into position
