The Tissue Bank Specialist assists in the acquisition, storage and issuance of human tissues. Follows guidelines provided by tissue suppliers/manufacturers for proper transportation, handling, storage and performs a wide variety of repetitive technical procedures and/or standardized tests according to established protocols. Assists in equipment maintenance, quality control, allocation/issuing product, inventory control and documentation. Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and tissue banking standards. Communicates shortages and recalls, ensures orders are fulfilled promptly and accurately, and established deadlines are met.

This position may require to work nights, holidays, weekends and outside of the normal work schedule to secure and record tissue into the bank.
