Responsibilities

Coordinates activity and workflow of the perfusion team. Schedules and assigns daily workload of staff team members. Duties include cardiopulmonary bypass, auto transfusion, intra aortic balloon pump counter pulsation, stand-by support, short and long term ventricular assist, and other related assignments deemed necessary to support Perfusion Services. Serves as a professional resource person to team members. Assists with evaluation, staffing and discipline of team members.

Qualifications

Education
• Graduate from an accredited perfusion program required
• Credentialed by the CHS Medical Staff Office as an Allied Health Professional and privileged to perform Perfusionist standardized procedures required
 
Experience
• 2 years of perfusion experience required
 
Licenses and Certifications
• CCP - Certified Clinical Perfusionist by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion required
• BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification required
