Responsibilities

Contributes to safe, quality and fiscally responsible cleaning and high level disinfection of endoscopes and related equipment per manufacturer instructions, AAMI ST-91, and all infection control policies and procedures. Completes and maintains documentation records of reprocessing for quality purposes. Assists with room turnover. Maintains inventories of endoscopic and reprocessing equipment and supplies and participates in unit based education. Provides coverage for Endoscopy Tech(s) as needed, including performing basic room setup for EGD/Colon and point of use treatment.

Qualifications

Education
• High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
 
Experience
• 1 year of experience in sterile processing or Endoscopy preferred
 
Licenses and Certifications
• BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
