Responsibilities

Located in downtown Fresno, Community Regional Medical Center is the flagship hospital of the region and home to the only Level I Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, and Comprehensive Burn Center between Los Angeles and Sacramento. This facility provides advanced, high-acuity care for the Central Valley’s most complex cases. As an Allied Health Practitioner in Endoscopy, you’ll collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to evaluate patients, recommend treatment, and ensure seamless care across specialties. 

  • Collaborate with physicians to evaluate patients, interpret test results, and develop individualized care plans that support diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. 
  • Coordinate patient care across specialties, acting as a liaison between providers, patients, and families to ensure clear communication and timely referrals. 
  • Contribute to clinical improvement by developing and maintaining protocols that enhance the patient and provider experience. 
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement and research efforts, helping advance clinical practices, continuing to advance the golden standard of care that Community is known for.

This position offers a unique schedule: one week of 24/7 call coverage, followed by the next week off. 

 

Qualifications

Education & Experience 

  • Completion of a Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program required 
  • Credentialed by the CHS Medical Staff Office as an Allied Health Professional and privileged to perform Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant standardized procedures required 
  • 2 years clinical experience in area specialty required 

  

Licenses and Certifications  

  • NP - Current State of California Nurse Practitioner License required and 
  • NPF - Nurse Practitioner Furnishing Number required or 
  • PA - State of California Physician Assistant License 
  • BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
