Responsibilities

The Manager of House Resources coordinates nursing, rehabilitation, and hospital services for the assigned facility while maintaining an awareness of issues that impact patient care. This role is responsible for overseeing patient flow, intra- and inter-facility patient transfers, and communication at the assigned facility, between other Community Health System (CHS) facilities, and with external entities. Additionally, the Manager directly supervises and provides leadership to the discharge lounge staff, resource and break nurses.

Qualifications

Education
• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, or Nursing required
• Master's Degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, or Nursing preferred
 
Experience
• 3 years of relevant experience in the healthcare industry or a healthcare setting required
• Leadership experience at the supervisor or manager level preferred
 
Licenses and Certifications
• One of the following is required
o PT - State of California Physical Therapist License
o OT - State of California Occupational Therapist License
o SLP - State of California Speech Language Pathologist License
o RN - Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California
• BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
