In your role, you will:

• Work alongside all of the surgical departments to ensure continuity of care
• Place Patients in pre-admission testing and support them through the pre-op process to ensure all requirements are completed timely
• Conduct pre-surgical interview and provide pre-surgical education to patients via phone and in person
• Transcribe orders
• Perform necessary testing required pre-testing for surgical patients
• Able to delegate to MA and LVN as needed
• Critically think about lab results and inform MD of any issues that might prevent patient from going to surgery

Schedule Requirements:

• Full Time, 8 hour shifts
• 10AM Start Time
• Weekdays with flexibility to support weekend coverage if the need arises

Education and Experience Minimum Requirements:

• Graduation from an accredited registered nursing program
• California RN state license
• Minimum 2 years recent RN experience, surgical & procedural, med-surg experience highly preferred
• BLS Certification
