Responsibilities

We are looking for a VOIP Engineer II to join our dynamic Information Systems (IS) team! In your role, you will assist in the installation, maintenance and monitoring of all telecommunication systems across all Community Health System campuses. Your exceptional problem-solving skills will be crucial in troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges, ensuring that our systems run efficiently and effectively. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with Project Managers, Facilities and Telecommunication Engineers in the planning and designing of various projects.

Qualifications

Education: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Collaboration, Telecommunications, or related field required
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for the Bachelor's Degree requirement

 

Experience: 

  • 2 years of telecommunication or collaboration experience in both a field and application support role required
  • Experienced on various IP based PBX systems and MDF/IDF/SMDF environments (preferably in a large hospital environment) required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, Network VOIP monitoring applications and troubleshooting, and Telephony integrated applications required
  • Experienced in Cisco Collaboration applications and endpoints (e.g., Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco Unified Communications Manager IM&P, Cisco Unity Connection, Webex Contact Center, Webex Control Hub, Cisco 8800 and 9800 series desk phones) required

 

License/Certifications: 

  • Certifications in Cisco, Collaboration, Telecommunications, or other relevant areas preferred
