Responsibilities

Located on the Community Regional campus, Burnett Extended Care Center is our brand-new 154-bed transitional care facility. Purpose-built to serve patients transitioning from hospital to home, Burnett features specialized rehabilitation spaces — dedicated gym spaces with the latest technology, a complete simulated home-like environment, and innovative therapy programs — all designed to help patients regain independence and quality of life in a post-acute setting.

  • Perform physical therapy procedures as delegated by a Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to support patients in improving strength, mobility, and overall function.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, making appropriate adjustments to exercises and treatments as needed to ensure safe and effective rehabilitation.
  • Manage a complex caseload while offering mentorship, preceptorship, and onboarding support for new team members, students, and volunteers.
  • Demonstrate strong critical thinking, organizational skills, and clinical leadership in a dynamic, team-based therapy environment.
