*Located in Fresno, CA*

We got our start 128 years ago as a boarding house and medical facility for people traveling in Central California. If people then could see us now... Today, Community Health System is the region’s largest healthcare provider and includes three divisions: Community Medical Centers hospitals, Community Care Health and Community Provider Network. These three pillars of healthcare – hospitals, health insurance and physicians – work best when they work together.

Commitment to diversity and inclusion is a cornerstone of our culture at Community. All are welcome as valued members of our community.

We know that our ability to provide the highest level of care begins with taking care of our incredible teams. Want to learn more? Click here.

Responsibilities

Located at Community Regional — home to the only Level I Trauma and comprehensive burn center between Los Angeles and Sacramento — our Med Surg & Telemetry service line spans seven inpatient units (five Med Surg and two Telemetry) with more than 350 beds. Serving patients across a five-county region, this department plays a pivotal role in patient flow, recovery and specialized care. As a UCSF academic-affiliated facility, Community Regional offers opportunities to collaborate on innovative care models and clinical education. Here, you’ll lead a mission-driven team of over 500 clinical and support staff and partner with an engaged provider team to oversee one of the largest and most diverse service areas within the region’s largest healthcare system.

  • Direct the daily operations, strategic planning and clinical services of Med Surg & Telemetry in alignment with system goals, quality measures and regulatory standards.
  • Cultivate a high-performing team culture by fostering collaboration, professional development and a shared commitment to patient-centered care.
  • Partner with physician leadership, hospital executives and interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes, streamline operations and improve patient flow.
  • Oversee department budget, compliance, staffing models, and performance improvement initiatives to ensure operational and financial excellence.

As an award-winning employer and regional leader in acute care, this is your opportunity to bring vision, expertise and leadership to one of Central California’s most essential hospital service lines!
