Scribe CHP- Oncology Specialty

*All positions are located in Fresno/Clovis CA*

As the Scribe for Community Health Partners, you will be key in medical record documentation, ensuring that each patient’s visit is recorded accurately and efficiently. Community Health Partners – part of Community Health System – helps primary care physicians and specialists manage their practices. From retrieving medical records, documenting orders and test results, and preparing discharge instructions, you will be integral to patient experience, all while helping the flow of the department setting daily.

In your role, you will:

• Interview patients to obtain and document the medical history and current complaints.
• Direct the physician to patient needs and maintain patient flow in the department.
• Accompany and directly observe the provider/patient to document the physical exam, procedures, labs, radiology orders, medications and aftercare instructions as dictated by the physician.
• Proofread all work transcribed to ensure quality output: Proper patient and physician information, checking for accurate content, spelling and punctuation.
• Prepare diagnoses and discharge instructions per physician and ensure physician orders are carried out.

Education

• High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required

Experience

• 2 years of experience preferably in a healthcare field or Bachelor's Degree required
