The Project Manager – Facilities provides oversight of new construction and/or remodeling projects. Establishes and tracks project budgets and schedules, interfaces with Community Health System (CHS) staff, consultants, legal counsel, public agencies, contractors and vendors on construction projects and provides oversight and direction to contractors and project teams.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Project Management, Scheduling, Budgeting, Healthcare Construction, and CMS, Joint Commission, DHS and OSHPD regulations
• Demonstrated skills related to management, planning, budgeting and quality improvement, negotiating and decisionmaking
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Skills to both train staff and successfully gather information needed to streamline processing
• Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills
• Developing, implementing and maintaining policies and procedures
• Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
• Ability to plan, organize and direct the work of others
• Knowledge of construction accounting practices and procedures preferred
Education
• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or Health Care related field required
• High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate and 8 years of related experience may be substituted for the Bachelor's Degree and experience requirement
Experience
• 3 years of Project Management experience required
• Experience in healthcare and/or at-risk construction preferred
• Membership in a professional organization preferred
Licenses and Certifications
• PMP - Project Management Professional Certification preferred
• OSHPD Class A Certification preferred
