Responsibilities

We are looking for a charge nurse to join our growing team! When you join our recently expanded ED, you will join the dynamic team that serves over 200 patients per day. As Charge Nurse, your role is to act as primary liaison for the care team with physicians, patients, families and all members of the assigned care team. Each shift the oversight of patient safety, quality and regulatory activities flows through you and you’re the one responsible for coordinating patient flow and staff assignments. It’s a tall order and you’re ready to achieve those heights in your career. 
 

 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred 
  • 2 years experience as a staff RN in the area of assignment or demonstrated competency  
  • 6 months experience as a Relief Charge RN or in a team leadership role required 

 

Licenses and Certifications 

  • RN – Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California required 
  • BLS – Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required 
  • Certifications as required for the unit
