Responsibilities

The Endoscopy Technician 1 (Endo Tech 1) provides direct assistance to physicians during endoscopic and pulmonary procedures, involving the use of specialized instruments to view and treat the internal organs and structures of the body. This role is responsible for setting up endoscopic rooms, safely using equipment, and maintaining a clean and therapeutic environment within the unit. Knowledgeable in high level disinfection and/or sterilization of endoscopes and other devices, safe handling of specimens, and accurate record keeping.

Qualifications

Education
• High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required within 7 months of hire or transfer into position
 
Experience
• 1 year of experience in an Endoscopy setting preferred
 
Licenses and Certifications
• BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
