Responsibilities

We are looking for RN Stroke Program Coordinators to join our growing Community team! Based out of our Clovis and downtown Fresno campus, you will serve as the Stroke Program Coordinator, maintaining the Joint Commission Certification for our hospital system — Community Regional, Clovis Community and Fresno Heart & Surgical. Using your expertise, you will assist with coordinating program activities supporting excellence in stroke care for patients and achieving nationally recognized outcome measures. This includes implementing performance measures, evaluating treatment effectiveness, collaborating with the multidisciplinary healthcare team, and providing clinical and community education, all while advancing stroke and neuroscience care beyond the nine counties we serve.

Qualifications

Education & Experience 

  • High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required  
  • 2 years of relevant experience in the healthcare industry or a healthcare setting required  

 

Licenses and Certifications 

  • RN - Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California required  
  • BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required  
  • NIHSS - Current National Institute of Health Stroke Scale certification  
  • One of the following is required within 1 year of hire or transfer into position  
  • SCRN - Stroke Certified Nurse  
  • CNRN - Certified Neuroscience Nurse  
  • ASC - Advanced Stroke Coordinator
