The RN Manager, NICU is accountable for the direction, supervision and evaluation of patient care performed by nursing personnel within their assigned service setting in accordance with established goals. Responsible for unit operation, scheduling, position control, staffing and coordination of the quality improvement process. Applies advanced, broad-based knowledge of nursing practice and theory, as well as advanced knowledge of techniques of supervision, management and leadership as applied to specific nursing responsibilities.

Education & Experience Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required
• Master's degree in Nursing OR Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) and Master's degree in a related field OR Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) an NATIONAL - National Certification related to specialty and applicable to role
• 3 years of nursing experience of which at least one year must be in a NICU facility that is equivalent to CHS NICU 

Licenses and Certifications Minimum Requirements:

• BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
• RN - Current State of California Registered Nurse license required
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program (for NICU only) required
• NATIONAL - National Certification related to specialty and applicable to role (if qualifying with this option for NICU) required
