Responsibilities

In this role some of your key responsibilities would include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for department staff training and development.
  • Implementation of customer service policies and recovery.
  • Initiates performance improvement activities.
  • In conjunction with communication from lead staff, conducts all employee formal development and administrative activities including, scheduling, progressive discipline, coaching, performance evaluations and hiring.
  • Provides daily coordination and communication with the Director and Supervisory team concerning progress toward department and hospital goals.

Qualifications

Education
• High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED) or Completion of a CMC Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required

 

Experience
• 2 years of experience in Environmental Services required
• Environmental Services experience in a hospital environment preferred
• Experience as a Team Lead in Environmental Services preferred

 

Licenses and Certifications
• CHEST - Certified Health Care Environmental Services Technician by the Association for the Health Care Environment (AHE) required within 1 year of hire or transfer into position
• T-CHEST - Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Technician Trainer by the Association for the Health Care Environment (AHE) preferred
• DOT - Department of Transportation certification for Hazardous Waste Generator preferred
