Responsibilities

We are looking for a Pharmacist to join our Oncology team! Joining a team of chemotherapy-certified pharmacists and technicians, you will deliver clinical pharmacy services, drug information, and pharmacotherapy monitoring to our diverse patient population. With close attention to detail, you will review drug orders and check work completed by ancillary personnel in the department. As a drug expert and consultant to physicians, nursing staff, and other hospital personnel, you will be responsible for direct patient care activities, providing comprehensive medication management, participating in pharmacy student and resident education, and providing quality assurance reviews of drug utilization throughout the hospital.

The oncology clinical services pharmacy branch is comprised of adult, pediatric inpatient and ambulatory care patients receiving oncology therapy– as well as clinical trials involving investigational therapies that are approved by our Institutional Review Board (IRB).

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Doctorate of Pharmacy degree (Pharm D). 
  • 1 year Pharmacy Residency Program or 2 years work experience
  • Valid State of California Pharmacist license
  • Current BLS certification
  • Current ACLS or PALS certification depending on area specialty.
  • Pharmacy Oncology experience preferred.
  • RPH - Registered Pharmacist with valid State of California Pharmacist License required
