Community Regional Medical Center (CRMC) is the flagship hospital of Community Medical Centers – a private, not-for-profit healthcare system based in Fresno, California, and the largest healthcare provider and private employer in central California. In this role you will
Under direction of the Charge/Circulating/Scrub RN/LVN assists in most aspects of the operative process. Exhibits detailed
knowledge of surgical instruments and prescribed procedures to provide surgeons the appropriate sterile surgical instruments and
supplies throughout the course of surgery. Responsible for scrubbing in all types of cases, preparing and turning over operating
rooms between cases, stocking rooms and carts, and maintaining equipment. The Certified Surgical Technologist is an advanced
technician who thinks on a global level and participates in endeavors that will improve and enhance the surgery department. Acts as
a resource and role model for students and other surgical staff.
Minimum requirements include:
Education
• High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED) or Completion of a CMC Approved Individualized Education
Plan (IEP) Certificate required
• Graduate of a recognized Surgical Technology Program required
Experience
• 1 year of Surgical Technologist experience required
Licenses and Certifications
• BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
• CST - Certified Surgical Technologist required
