    Community Medical Centers' Department of Pharmacy Services is a diverse and compassionate team of medical experts working to ensure patient safety through evidence-based practices. Pharmacy Services supports clinicians and physicians by providing accurate and timely pharmaceutical care and education. We are currently seeking a Night Pharmacist for the Inpatient Pharmacy at Community Regional Medical Center (CRMC), the 685-bed flagship hospital of Community Medical Centers. CRMC is home to the only Level 1 trauma center and comprehensive burn center in the Valley serving 2.5 million people within 9 counties. We are also affiliated with one of the top medical schools in the nation, University of California San Francisco Medical School, which offers our employees the opportunity to work with some of the brightest physicians and medical specialists in the nation.

    In this role some of your key responsibilities would include but are not limited to:

    • Provides for delivery of basic pharmacy services, patient-oriented clinical pharmacy services, drug information and monitoring.
    • Reviews all drug orders and checks all work completed by ancillary personnel in the department.
    • Serves as drug expert and consultant to physicians, nursing staff and other hospital personnel.
    • Provides quality assurance review of drug utilization throughout the hospital for various medical staff committees and the department.
    • Accepts supervisory responsibilities during time when managerial support is not physically on campus. This includes decisions related to policies and procedures that may fall outside of normal operational procedures and resolving technical difficulties with pharmacy specific equipment such as Pyxis and POMS.

    This position will be 7-on and 7-off, with hours 19:00 to 06:30.


    License and education minimum requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
    • Valid State of California Pharmacist license.

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Pharmacy experience in a hospital setting.
    • Completion of a pharmacy residency.
