    Community Regional Medical Center (CRMC) is the flagship hospital of Community Medical Centers – a not-for-profit healthcare system based in Fresno, California, and the largest healthcare provider and private employer in central California. The 56,000 square-foot emergency department is one of the largest and busiest in the state. We have an 84 bed Level 3 NICU and a brand new pediatric specialty care unit. Future plans include building a women and children’s facility on campus and expanding with 65 additional beds.

    Responsibilities

    Community Regional Medical Center (CRMC) is adding additional positions to its existing staff of Trauma/Surgical ICU Registered Nurses. The Trauma/Surgical ICU is a 24 bed unit that works closely with UCSF.  This close affiliation with UCSF provides a unique and comprehensive view of patient care in a healthy learning environment. RN patient ratio is 1:2 but can be 1:1 based on patient acuity.

    Community Regional Medical Center is seeking nurses like you to be part of our team. We are a fast paced unit with a lot of room for growth in specialized areas such as education, advanced practice, and leadership.

     

    In this role you will work closely with Medical and Trauma/Surgical team members including an Attending Faculty member, fellows from our 16 fellowship programs, residents, and advance practice nurses. The population of Trauma/Surgical ICU patients range from single to multi-system injuries, acute exacerbation of chronic health problems, and acute illness.  Our Medical Team is highly trained and credentialed in multitude procedures. Likewise, our nurses are highly competent and skilled to manage any Trauma/Surgical patient.

     

    Education is at the forefront of our practice therefore we encourage nursing credential and certification (i.e. ATCN, ENLS, CCRN, CRRT, WCC, Trauma Core etc.…).

    Qualifications

    Minimum requirements include; Graduation from an accredited registered nursing program.  Current RN license for the state of California, BLS and Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire or transfer into job.  National Institutes of Health (NIH) Stroke Scale Course must be obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer into job.
