The CT Technologist 2 is a board certified CT Technologist specializing in using ionizing radiation to produce cross-sectional images to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients. Collaborates directly with Radiologist regarding CT scan protocol and scan sequence. Provides patient instruction of procedure method. Injects IV contrast for organ enhancement, under the direction of a Radiologist. Performs and understands routine quality control procedures and measurements of the CT systems. Trains Radiology students, Radiologic Technologists, and non-certified Computed Technology Technologists in essential CT duties.
MINIMUM REQUIRED: Graduate of an ARRT approved School of Radiologic Technology or Nuclear Medicine Technology. Two years’ experience working as a Computed Tomography Technologist.
MINIMUM REQUIRED: Current BLS certification.

American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Computed Tomography, ARRT (CT). Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist Computed Tomography CNMT (CT).
PREFERRED: California Department of Public Health fluoroscopy permit.
