    Community Medical Centers has been providing central California with the highest level of care available in the region. With 685 beds, we are home to the only comprehensive Burn and Level I Trauma center between Los Angeles and Sacramento. The 56,000 square-foot emergency department is one of the largest and busiest in California! We have an 84-bed Level III NICU and plan to significantly expand pediatric specialty care. Our hospital serves 2.5 million people within 9 counties, averaging a daily census of 641 patients. We're affiliated with UCSF as a teaching facility; trained 3,000 Medical Doctor's to date plus continuous invests in research and training grants.

    Responsibilities

    Respiratory Care Services is a highly valued service provider across the continuum of care, including a Labor & Delivery, Level 3 NICU, Pediatric ICU, Level 1 Trauma Center, Level 1 Burn Unit, Surgical and Medical ICUs, Neuro ICU, Cardiovascular Surgery ICU, Chronic Lung Disease Management, Pulmonary Rehab, Asthma Education, and Pulmonary Function Labs.  Respiratory Care Practitioners enjoy advance practices such as intubation and inter-facility transport of sick newborns.

    Qualifications

    Education Background

     

    • S. Degree in Respiratory Care. Graduation from an approved Respiratory Care Program.
    • Successful completion of NBRC exams for Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
    • Must complete CMC RCP 2 qualifications for NICU which include: L&D orientation, basic core curriculum, and STABLE class.
    • New hires into job must complete CMC RCP 2 qualifications for NICU within 3 months of entry into job.

    Licensure, Registration, Certification

     

    • State of California Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license. Current BLS, PALS and NRP certifications.

     

    Work Experience

     

    • At least one year of current clinical experience in a level III NICU.
