    Responsibilities

    We are currently seeking a Security Officer I to join our highest trained, and most technologically advanced Security department at Community Regional Medical Center. Not only will you have the opportunity for professional growth and development but, we will help you to become a successful and highly valuable Security Officer! In addition, you’ll provide emergency assistance to other security staff and work closely with local law enforcement agencies in an event of an emergency. You’ll prepare written reports as necessary and will operate equipment such as two-way radios, patrol vehicles, and provide escorts to staff and visitors. You’ll provide general directions and informational services to those who inquire. You’ll maintain a high profile to security presence to deter criminal activity as well as providing excellent customer service to our guests and employees.

     

    You’ll ensure quality safety for our patients, visitors and employees in a hospital setting environment. You will play an important role and will be a part of a highly-skilled team and will collaborate with other team members. You will be someone who is a great communicator who can convey information effectively. You will be someone who can accurately utilizes all resources available to them to assist staff and the public in order to ensure a positive customer service and safe environment.

     

     

    Qualifications

    EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
    MINIMUM REQUIRED: High school graduate/GED. One (1) year of law enforcement, security, military or other relevant experience. A Criminal Justice degree or completed course work in a related field may be substituted in lieu of experience.

     

    PREFERRED: Associate's/Bachelor's degree in related field, and/or advanced military, law enforcement, or security training.

     


    LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
    MINIMUM REQUIRED: Current BLS Certification, DMV printout that meets Community Medical Centers Driver Insurability standards and a valid Class C California Driver’s license.  Must obtain a valid California Guard card during probationary period.

    Existing employees must obtain BLS certification within defined period.

     

    PREFERRED: Valid California State Guard card with baton and OC spray endorsement.
