    CMC’s Cancer Institute is a nationally accredited cancer program committed to excellence in both medical care and all-inclusive patient support. The impressive new three story comprehensive cancer center is located on the Clovis Community campus and houses all outpatient services under one roof. It will be the region’s first comprehensive cancer center working closely with USCF medical staff, providing outpatient cancer treatments, the latest in cancer research and pioneering clinical trials.  


    The institute offers the most current technology in radiation oncology, imaging, and laboratory medicine.  The Institute will have a dedicated radiation oncology clinic equipped with 3 conventional radiation therapy machines, 1 Cyber Knife machine, CT Simulator, fully digital PET/CT and 3T MRI. Medical Oncology clinics and multi-disciplinary conferences also are in the new center.

    Supports the Manager of Operational Support Services and serves on a multidisciplinary team to ensure the oncology patient population receives quality and patient comprehensive services.

    Utilizing experience in patient care, which includes: direct patient assessment, consultation, education and research, supervises the Outpatient Oncology Support teams and the patient care clinic serving oncology patients and services throughout the continuum of care. Collaborates with other care teams and providers to promote an optimal patient experience and serves as a liaison throughout the health care system and community for the oncology patient population. Demonstrates ability to act as a mentor to oncology support services staff.


    MINIMUM REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare related field and three years of relevant clinical experience.

    PREFERRED: Experience with protocol development and execution under scope of practice. Project and program development experience.

    MINIMUM REQUIRED: Current California Registered Nurse License. Current BLS certification.

    PREFERRED: Specialty certification in Oncology.
